The College had a humble beginning as `Government College Devnagar`; within a year the college was shifted to the present location, again a Government School building, in East Patel Nagar. The College initially offered bachelor's programs in humanities and sciences (Group B). Introduction of Humanities Honors Course in 1971. Trade in 1977 (Prog.). Science honors courses - Physics (1990), Mathematics (1992), Computer Science (1997). Journalism specialized course (1995). Honors in Commerce (1998) reflects Kalindi's developmental trajectory.
