Why Thakur Jagdev Chand Memorial Government College?

Thakur J.C.M. Govt. College Sujanpur-Tihra was established on 7 March 2001 when the legislature of Himachal Pradesh took over neighborhood universities viz. D.A.V. College for Women and Late Sh. Ramesh Chand Verma Memorial S.D. College. These were converged to make an administration multi-staff, co-instructive organization, which was named after Late Thakur Jagdev Chand, an unbelievable political figure of Himachal Pradesh who won five continuous races from the territory. The College is situated at Sujanpur-Tihra in the Hamirpur Distt, a verifiable zone. At one time it was the capital of a thriving kingdom on the bank of the stream Beas, administered by well known Maharaja Sansar Chand. The College is associated with Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla and is under 2f and 12(B) acknowledgment of the U.G.C.
