AWH Engineering College (AWHEC), established in 2001, is a self-financing engineering college managed by Association for Welfare of Handicapped (AWH), Kozhikode, Kerala. It is affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). AWH Engineering College is a co-educational institution established with the sole purpose of honoring engineers of excellent qualities.AWHEC is dedicated to helping students to learn and develop their skills and potential. Our faculty is committed to quality teaching and enhanced learning for students, preparing them for subsequent careers in professions and public services.The college is located in a serene sprawling and evergreen campus spread over an area of 28 acres near Kuttikattoor. It is 26 kms away from Calicut International Airport, Karipur, 12 kms from Kozhikode Corporation bus station and 13 kms from Kozhikode railway station.The historical city of Kozhikode is the hub for several educational institutions, including many prestigious engineering colleges, medical colleges, polytechnics, arts and science colleges, Indian Institute of Management (IIMK), National Institute of Technology (NITC) etc. Calicut is a beautiful coastal city known as the clean city of Kerala, the God’s own Country.

Admission Process of AWH Engineering College

Application form for admission in AWH Engineering College can be collected/ downloaded from the college premises/website and should be posted/submitted in person to the college along with the application fees of INR 500 (in cash or through Demand draft).Minimum eligibility to apply for B.Tech. Course is 50% marks in 10+2 examination or equivalent with Maths, Physics and Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science as the Subjects.Admissions to B.Tech. is done on basis of KEAM entrance exam score.

Applicants to M.Tech. Course must hold 3 years AICTE approved graduate degree in B.Tech. with at least 60% marks.Admissions to M.Tech. program are awarded on basis of GATE ranks through DTE Allotment Process.

MCA course is open for the candidates with 3-year graduate degree in any field with Mathematics/ Statistics as their subject with at least 50% in aggregate.Admission to MCA is done on basis of score obtained by candidate in Kerala MCA CEE entrance exam.Lateral Entry in the 2nd year of B.Tech. program is available for candidate with Diploma in Engineering from a recognised institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate.AWH Engineering College offers admission to B.Tech. program in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering through KEAM 2020 score. The minimum eligibility criteria for taking admission requires candidate to have scored minimum 50% marks in 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science as the subjects.Lateral Entry in the 2nd year of B.Tech. program is available for candidate with Diploma in Engineering from a recognised institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate.The minimum age limit to apply for B.Tech. program is 17-year on date of admission with no upper age limit.Candidates belonging to SEBC category gets a relaxation of 5% marks in the aggregate score.

Candidates with Diploma in Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised institution are eligible to take admission under Special reservation quota.

The total intake for B.Tech. in Computer Science, Civil, and Mechanical is 60 students each and for rest 30 students each.

There is a placement cell in college, so they alert the other placement offers conducted by companies online and also provide some other online placements.80% of students are selecting some streams due to this and the college is not providing direct placement.Here the faculties provide a separate class for guidance helping in placement and mostly 30% of students get placement offers. With the provided opportunities for good resume creation and curriculum activities.Our college provides placements, For that, A placement cell is working. Need to clear all back papers before the s8 semester. They are eligible for placements and other placements are also available but more preference for full pass students. many companies come for it tata, Toyota, bajaj, etc.From semester 6 , students become eligible for campus placements. Some of the companies are cadd centre, support sages etc. Only a few students get placed and rest have to search for job themselves. I too have to search for a suitable job.

My college is meny company’s are also provided into placement and internship.every years meny companies comeing in college and interview get student 80% students are tacken these company’s job.main company’s cyber park Calicut,Infosys,Wipro, etc.The campus placement is offered in the final year for the students.there are many companies to give placement.student who perform well will get a job after completing the study.The students are eligible for campus placement on the final year. somany of companies are gathering hear for campus placement. students are selected in,6th semester academic year.
