The idea of a college at Ponnani actually emanated from the brain of late Dr. P.K. Abdul Gafoor Sahib, while addressing a public meeting organized by M.E.S. Ponnani unit in 1967. In the keynote address, he unequivocally stated that M.E.S. was ready to start a College here at Ponnani, provided the Ponnani M.E.S. units mobilize the required land and 1 lakh rupees. It was a great source of inspiration for the energetic members of the Ponnani unit. They took it up as a challenge and managed to accomplish all the requirements within a short duration. A sprawling 32 acres of land was obtained from the government and they also raised an amount of 1.25 lakhs rupees by means of public contribution.

Library
The College has Library is under the general supervision of the Librarian and the ultimate control of the Principal. The College Library includes •General Library •Departmental Libraries The General Library and Departmental Libraries are subdivided into a) Lending Section b) Reference Section c) Consulting Section The Reference Section The section consists of books for reference and consultation only such as Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Directories, etc.
Laboratories
The college has a departmental-based laboratories facility for the students.
Auditorium
The College has a well-maintained auditorium which can accommodate around 300 people at a time. Most of the programs in the college are conducted here.
Cafeteria
The college has a good canteen located at a very accessible place. It caters to the needs of students and staff adequately at a reasonable rate and in a hygienic environment. A new more spacious building for canteen is under construction.
I.T Infrastructure
The college is provided with a state-of-the-art computer lab with the most modern operating systems. The fully air-conditioned computer lab comprised 40 computers, Printers, a Scanner, Fax, and an internet facility. The college has a separate air-conditioned INFLIBNET Lab exclusively for the students with 25 computers, an Internet facility, and a Photocopier.
Gym
The College has a spacious and well-equipped gymnasium inside the campus. Equipment in the Gymnasium includes weight training equipment, barbel and weights for developing the strength of various muscle groups, abking pro equipment for the development of abdominal muscles, single station equipment for various parts of muscle groups, cycling equipment for aerobic development and strengthening the capacity of heart, rotator for the flexibility of hip joint and knee joint, etc. Mats are also available in the Gymnasium for practicing wrestling and yoga.
Sports
The College has two playgrounds, out of which one is about to be upgraded into a national-level stadium with a gallery that could accommodate thousands of people.
Girls Hostel
The college has a Lady's Hostel that started functioning inside the college campus in November 2019, with an inmate capacity of 96. There are 24 rooms for the students, apart from a Warden room, RT room, Kitchen, Mess Hall, and Study Hall across two floors. All the rooms are furnished with cots, study tables, chairs, and cupboards. Staffing of the hostel is from the Kudumbasree program, with the current staff consisting of cooks, a sweeper, and a sanitation worker.
Parking Facility
The college provides Parking space for two-wheelers and four-wheelers.

Simply because MES Ponnani College placements are done through PSC exams and interviews. Campus placements are applicable to students who are NET holders. I am a NET holder and now i am pure my B Ed course.As I'm a literature student, there are no such kinds of placement stuff for us. But yes we are trained for a achieving ethe eligibility for teaching.The college was arts and science placements was more reliable in branch of science arts have some sort of limitation in placement and job opportunities our college dont provide internship my overall view and experience was average.Corporate companies were there to visit, but fortunately (to me) I wasn't interested in them. Those were the days of my life where I could only think of 'serving my country' as an ENTREPRENEUR ( I'm still on it, on my way through CA). On that days I was also able to make entry to participate in 3 Management Fest in i-Lead College Palakkad, Monti International College for Management and Shafi Institute (full name don't remember). Luck or Unluck no championship bought in the name of PTM Governement College. Haaa. I feel so sorry for that part. One thing I should remind every human being in this world is that, the 'placement as a CITIZEN' to society is more important. And the college is best at it.
