Chadalawada Ramanamma Engineering College (CREC) was founded in the year 2004 by Dr. Chadalawada Krishna Murthy, a great visionary, philanthropist, successful entrepreneur Dr. Chadalawada Krishnamurthy, born on 1 st May’ 1948, in a small village- Chennur of Nellore District, AP. After his studies he continued in business with his brothers. He is a social activist and attracted for politics in the year 1973 to serve people of his home- town, elected as Congress Youth President (1976), elected as Sarpanch (1981) of Major Panchayath, Naidupet. AP State Govt. awarded him as BEST SARPANCH in 1983, entered State politics and contested MLA for Srikalahasti Assembly Constituency (1994), served as MLA of Tirupati Assembly Constituency (1999), TTD Board Chairman (24 th April 2015) of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. He offered social services of free drinking water supply to the needy people at their door-step and also free medical treatment with permanent establishment of Hospital, pension to the old-age, performed several times mass marriages to the peoples of Assembly Constituencies of Naidupet, Srikalahasthi and Tirupati.

Boys Hostel
The college has a Boy's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

Library
The college has a spacious, well-stocked central library of knowledge with a number of volumes, International and National journals of repute cater to the needs of the students of all branches. Almost all the newspapers and magazines are available for the students to access. Apart from this, the library is also accessed to the ‘EKALAVYA’ channel to download the lectures of eminent professors and scholars from IITs and Chadalawada Ramanamma Engineering College. The library is open between 8 AM and 8 PM so that students can stay even outside the instructional hours to refer to the suggested books and make the most of them.
Laboratories
The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. Electronics Labs, Electrical Labs, Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Engineering Workshop Lab, and Computer Science, Engineering Labs.
Cafeteria
The College has a spacious canteen facility which provides hygienic food at subsidized rates. RO water facility is available round the clock.

The college has a well-equipped separate medical dispensary facility provided by the college for students and staff. The College provides healthcare facilities to the students whenever required. FIRST AID Chadalawada Ramanamma Engineering College are available on the college campus, hostel, and in the respective departments and Staff members for free of cost.
I.T Infrastructure
The college's Computer Science Department has a wide range of computing resources and laboratories available to support its educational and research missions. Students access this infrastructure through a number of laboratories. The Computer Laboratory is an academic department within the Chadalawada Ramanamma Engineering College that encompasses Computer Science, along with many aspects of Engineering.
Sports
The College Department of Physical Education is well equipped with good infrastructure and includes activities like Volley ball, Badminton, TT, Cricket, Throw ball, Athletics, and more. Sports are in fact a way of life for the students conscious of health and fitness and those looking for professional star status. Physical education, a learning experience, offers a unique opportunity for a problem - solving and self-expression, and socialization. A well-implemented, comprehensive program is an essential component of the growth of both mind and body. At SCARLET, sports are included in the academic curriculum to encourage students in various co-curricular activities. We have annual sports meet every year and students of the college also participate actively in various other tournaments outside the college. Many of our students brought laurels to the tournaments conducted outside. The management also encourages the students by giving various prizes to the winners in the annual Sports Meet competitions.
