Admissions Open in Government Girls Degree College

Government Girls Degree College was set up in May, 2000, by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh to take into account the developing requirement for higher instructive foundations for ladies in the semi-urban and provincial zones of southern Varanasi. At present the school conducts U.G. level courses in nine subjects – Hindi, Sanskrit, English, HomeScience, Psychology, Physical Education, History, Sociology and Economics. Applications for beginning P.G. courses in Hindi, Home Science and Sociology have been sent to the Directorate of Higher Education, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. The new working for Commerce Faculty is under development which is being financed by RUSA. 

To create characteristics of initiative, fearlessness, discipline, love for humankind and self-less administration among the understudies, three units of NCC and Rani Laximibai Rangers group are working in the College.
