G.B. Pant Institute of Technology, a premier government institute of NCT of Delhi has undertaken an important work in the field of technical education. The institute has been in existence for 55 years since it was built in 1961 and renamed after the famous chancellor Sh. Pant Govind Ballabh. The institute is spread over an area of 20.25 plots of land. It includes open College buildings, private complexes, workshops, education offices, IT-equipped discussion rooms and playgrounds with green areas and rest stops. The institute has five departments of civil science, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and automobile. This is an exciting time for GBPIT as we begin a new phase of growth with the launch of our B.VOC programmes. In addition to College exercises, extracurricular exercises, sports, social exercises and social management are a basic part of the Institute. Students are given every opportunity to take an interest in curricular and co-curricular exercises, which leads to the all-round development of their personality. G.B. Pant Institute of Technology admissions are done on the basis of merit ranking in the Common Entrance Examination of the Directorate of Technical Education and Training. This test is performed annually. All qualified applicants are admitted on the basis of their merit rating. Admission to the Advanced Diploma will be based on interdisciplinary performance ratings in the AAEE. Worthy candidates must appear for counseling sessions. Applicants must provide all required documents for the admission rounds.
G.B Institute of Technology Pant regularly organizes job placement activities for passing students of the College. In addition to technical education, the Institute also organizes seminars on many current technologies. This allows students to stay up to date with current technologies that cannot be taught in a conventional curriculum. The institute also organizes industry tours and on-campus internships in many wealthy companies. Hostel
The dormitories are fully equipped with sanitary facilities, electricity, drinking water as well as Internet connection in each dormitory. The housekeeping staff is responsible for the cleanliness of the dormitory, and each dormitory has a custodian to attend to the daily needs of the dormitory. Guest House Complex
The College Guest House complex includes four guest houses with full accommodation, meeting rooms, dining rooms and communication facilities. The guest house has 13 fully furnished rooms.
Sports
The College campus is also equipped with tables, wooden badminton courts, cricket courts, volleyball courts and basketball courts for students to develop sports skills and enhance physical health. The College has made arrangements to send students to other universities to participate in tournaments such as college volleyball, cricket and football.
Transport
The College has full transportation facilities to serve faculty, staff and students. A 24-hour ambulance is available to inmates on College campuse to respond to medical emergencies. In addition to the above, the College also has its own water tanker to distribute water to respond to emergencies in the event of a loss of water supply.
Banking
The college also has an extension counter of the State Bank of India to provide banking facilities to the faculty, staff and students. Efforts are being made to install ATM facilities on campus.
