Hindu College of Education, Guntur Andhra Pradesh was established in the year 1935 as Private Educational Institute to provide higher education to build a career in the field of Teaching. Hindu College of Education is approved by the reputed NCTE, and is affiliated with ANU, Guntur. Management of Hindu College of Education, Guntur is working under Prof. P.V.Sree Devi Principal (Principal).This is one of the oldest colleges in A.P. Hindu college has P.G. courses separately in Amaravathi Road which is 3 km from the main campus. The Hindu College was founded in 1930 with Late Sri Kompalli Kotilingam as founder President and Late Sri Aka Lakshmi Narasimham as founder Secretary, both leading lawyers of that time in the city. Sri Aka Lakshmi Narasimham took the idea of setting up a higher educational institute onto his shoulders for people of Hindu community upon the advice of his classmate and close friend, the ex-president of India, Sri Sarvepalli Radhakrishna. Later eminent persons of the Guntur city joined this campaign and established this institution which came into limelight and produced an enormous number of intellectuals to the country.

Boys Hostel : The College has a hostel for boys on campus, amidst lush green lawns. The rooms are spacious, well lit, and adequately equipped with furniture, which makes the stay comfortable. The hostel has all modern-day amenities like 100% power backup, in-house telephone, internet services, sports, and recreational facilities. It also includes a large dining hall and common room for audio-visual entertainment and reading facilities. The sports facilities include cricket, hockey, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and some indoor games such as table tennis, carom, chess, etc.
Girls Hostel : The college has a girls' hostel in the posh Civil Lines area of Allahabad with a view to the security and well-being of the girl students. A free shuttle bus is deployed to ferry the students to the colleges. The institute has a tie-up with a local nursing home in Soraon and with another hospital in Allahabad to provide all kinds of medical facilities to the hostellers. A doctor of good standing visits the hostel twice a week as a matter of routine. A vehicle is stationed at the hostel at all times to provide any emergency services.
Medical/Hospital : The college acts as a mentor to a group of students whose problems dilemmas and issues are dealt with with care and affection. Besides this, a trained counselor visits the colleges every week to tackle complicated problems if any. First aid and elementary medical facilities are available in the hostel through a qualified doctor. In case of emergency, the student is taken to the nearest medical practitioner/ hospital for which a van is available 24 hrs on campus and the local guardian is duly informed.
Gym : The college provides a well-equipped gym that is also available for the students.
Library : The college has a library that offers students an excellent selection of books and magazines on all the branches of engineering, basic sciences, professional communication, and management. It has more than 30,000 books and audio-visual learning resources. The center is digitized with computerized Issue and Return of books, the computer-assisted search of learning resources, and the Open-Access System.
Sports : The college gives a lot of importance to the physical and mental development of the students, and a wide range of sports facilities are available on the campus. The outdoor facilities include football and cricket fields, basketball, volleyball, and badminton courts, and an indoor recreation hall for table tennis, chess, and carom, etc.
I.T Infrastructure : The college has a Computer Centre that has the latest configuration of PCs with Core2Duo and P4 processors and provides round-the-clock, 24x7 accessibility to the internet so that the students can access information about the latest advancements taking place across the globe. MSDN alliance provides licensed software usage as a versatile package. Other software includes Java Development Kit and DBMS Package, together with another system and application software.
Cafeteria : The college has a stylish cafeteria on campus, which can conveniently house 150 students and staff at a time. Besides, the lawns provide a wonderful ambiance for outside eating. A perfect place for the students to unwind, the cafeteria serves multi-cuisine gourmet to satisfy the pallet of people with varied tastes.
Auditorium : The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
Transport Facility : The college has Capsule buses to transport students within a 45 km radius and is deployed by the college. Separate mini busses are also engaged to transport the teaching and nonteaching faculty. During the weekends there is a provision to bring the hostel inmates to the city for shopping and entertainment.
Wifi : The college has a Wi-Fi facility for students and staff.
Laboratories : The college has commissioned over 50 laboratories with modern equipment to not only meet the requirements of the GBTU curriculum but also to allow additional experiments to be conducted by the students to have value addition. Institute has a big workshop with an area of 908 sq. mts. Presently it has CNC machines, Numeric controlled machines, TIG, MIG, Welding shop, Sheet metal shop, and precision lathes so the students can use the workshop for the development of prototype models and work for the design and development of new equipment.
Guest Room/Waiting Room : The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
