The Kannada Sangha of Pune was established in 1952 as a cultural organization by and for the Kannadiga people of Pune. In 1963, Dr. Kalmadi Shyamarao, popularly known as Doctor. It has now grown and developed to include two English-speaking middle schools offering education from preschool through high school. X is a Kannada secondary school providing high school education to poor Kannada children, a junior college and senior university offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
