Kanan Devi Memorial College of Education, Pangei, Yangdong, Imphal East, Manipur was established in 1992. It was inaugurated on the auspicious day of Maha Sankranti, the 14th January, 1993 by His Excellency Chintamani Panigrahi, the then Governor of Manipur. The college stands in the midst of sylvan an idyllic setting surrounded by the grassy green hills and verdant paddy fields lulled by the murmuring melodies of the vibrant rivulets. This Teacher Training College is semi-residential with an adequate pucca (RCC) building, hostel, library, laboratories and Canteen facilities within a well fenced spacious campus reigned by serene and calm with a symbolic Peace Memorial of Japanese soldiers who had sacrificed their yesterday for the tomorrows of the Indian and Japanese people. Every year delegates from Japan visited the Peace Memorial.The college is sponsored and governed by the Manipur Ramakrishna Society, Imphal registered under the Societies Act of 1860 of Government of India under the dynamic leadership of its founder Late Shri Laishram Joychandra Singh the dedicated social worker, renowned journalist, author and project pioneer. The college is run and managed on no profit and no loss basis without any financial assistance from any external funding agency. The college could not get any UGC funding grants under 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act, 1956, as there is not financial assistance from the government of Manipur.

Library : The college consists of a huge library with a large collection of books, magazines, and journals.
Laboratories : The college has fully equipped labs of nursing with sufficient space for a batch of 70 students. The laboratories include demonstrations on beds and articles to practice different Nursing procedures.
I.T Infrastructure : The college has well well-equipped Computer Lab with the latest Computers and printers and with a high-speed internet facility. We encourage students to learn more about technology as it helps them in their nursing careers.
Auditorium : The College also consists of a large Auditorium, a Multipurpose Hall, and a Common Room for various events and activities. The hall and auditorium are equipped with all the facilities needed to cater to the talent of students.
Classrooms : There are many classrooms with a sitting capacity of more than 70 students in each classroom. The rooms are spacious and airy so the students feel comfortable and can concentrate on their studies.
Girls Hostel : The College has the facilities of a separate girls' hostel with all the facilities near the College.
Sports : The college has sports facilities for all students.
Cafeteria : The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.
Medical/Hospital : The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
Guest Room/Waiting Room : The college has a guest house/waiting room facility for visiting faculty and student family members.
