Admissions Open in Syamaprasad College

Syamaprasad College, supported by Dr Syamaprasad Mukherjee, came into existence within the town directly once the tip of War II in 1945. it had been then titled as Asutosh College of Commerce (evening section). therefore this College has its genesis in Asutosh College and has primarily been designed to satisfy the growing demand for education in Commerce among the unemployed youth. tonight Section was delinked from Asutosh College and bought the standing of a full-fledged freelance College in 1958 with a separate Principal and separate management (i.e. Governing Body) beneath instruction from University Grants Commission and with the approval & affiliation of University of a metropolis. once the immature ending of Dr. Mukherjee, the ex-Vice Chancellor, metropolis University resolved to continue the memory of Dr. Mukherjee by renaming the College supported by him as "SYAMAPRASAD COLLEGE" in 1962.

It received permission of the University to show Honours Courses in business and in assistant observe in Commerce; in Bengali and in English in Arts. inside a brief time, the College became a premier center of excellence in Commerce Education. the College has the dream to start out skilled courses of education in Taxation, Company post, Management, foreign languages, etc. in close to future.
