The Nalanda College of Education placed close to Jhaniari, on the National main road No Shimla-Dharmsala at a distance of 05 Kms from Hamirpur bus stand. the faculty was started from the tutorial session 2000-2001 by the registered Nalanda Education Society so as to share the commitment of the Constitution for Universalization of education by transmission B.Ed coaching to the scholars of Medical, Non-Medical, and humanities streams so the trained lecturers will be provided to the colleges placed in social group, tough and alternative space of the state.
The college has been granted recognition by the National Council for Teacher Education, Jaipur vides their letter no NCTE/F-3/HP/97/2004/2033- 2041 dated twenty-seventh Jun 2003 and related to H.P University, Shimla on the premise of No Objection Certificate granted by the HP Government with the intake of 1 unit of one hundred students. The College was functioning in a very rented building at Ward No three, Partap Nagar, Hamirpur from the tutorial session 2000-2001 to 2003-2004. the faculty has been functioning in its own building from the tutorial session 2004-05. this College building has been created by its Governing Nalanda Education Society at an attractive place that is calm, peaceful and free from pollution with correct atmosphere needed for the functioning of the faculty. Principal space, body accommodation with bathroom facilities each for men and girls singly in the ground floor. Staff Room, ICT Resource Center, four category space, parlor with separate bathroom facilities for boys and women within the level. Health and Physical Resource Center , Art and Craft Resource Center, scientific discipline research laboratory, Language research laboratory, info Resource Center and indoor games sports space within the second floor. additionally, to the present, the faculty has given boundary wall to avoid any out facet disturbance. The building is totally equipped with all the requirement/ infrastructure together with needed fixture/furniture.
