Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Science in Satara is one of the best universities in Maharashtra. The historic and picturesque town of Satara, located on the Sahyadri Hills, is home to the Yasavantrao Chavan Institute of Science. The institute is a member of the Rayat Shikshan Sanstha family, a reputed educational trust founded by the late Dr. Padum Bhushan. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil was established. It was established in June 1958 as the scientific department of Chh. Shivaji College Satara was then established as a single department 'Science College' in June 1965. His college of science was named Yasavantraochavan Institute of Science in honor of late Shri in 1986. Yashavantrao Balawantrao Chavan, former Deputy Prime Minister of India and former President of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha. Yashavantrao Chavan Institute of Science is reputed government aided science institute affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur with university affiliation No.UKF/565/U/5 and Junior College Index No. is 21.10.003. The cumulative result of consistant achievements in academic, extracurricular and social performance of the institute resulted in receiving accreditation at A level and reaccreditation at A level with higher grade points of 3.37 by NAAC, Banglore. The Institute is selected as 'College with Potential for Excellence' by UGC, New Delhi and for FIST ( FUNDS for IMPROVEMENT IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ) by DST New Delhi. The institute is honoured as STAR college by DBT, New Delhi.

The students become eligible for placement after 4th semester. I`ve visited 2 companies namely, PRK Solutions and Cooperate Consultants. And I got an offer from a Cooperate consultant. The highest package was provided by Motilal Oswal company which is 2,50,000 CTC. The students who are getting placement are 100%. For now, I'll work. Internship Opportunities: The university offers us internships to get a better future and experience. The university offers us many internships. Examples: Airtel Companies, ICIC Groups, Trust Groups, etc. Internships from the 4th semester onwards are also possible.
