Established in 2002, Medical Trust College of Nursing is one of the leading nursing education institutions in Kerala. The college is accredited by Indian Nursing Council, Kerala Nurses and Midwives council and affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. 110 students are admitted to different courses each year. Students will have the opportunity to get hands on experience in super specialty nursing like Cardiac surgery, Cardiology etc. Many students have placed in pioneer health institutions and many of them are regarded as one among the best in the nursing profession because of their clinical acumen they have received from here. Medical Trust College of Nursing has progressively grown in strength and scope over the years. It has highly qualified faculty, excellent infrastructure and hospitals, which provide a wholesome experience in nursing education.

Admission Process for Medical Trust College of Nursing

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years as on or before 31/12 of the year of admission (as per University norms)
The candidate should be a registered nurse and registered midwife with Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council
The minimum educational requirement shall be passing of regular degree course in Nursing (B. Sc Nursing/B. Sc (Hons), Nursing/ Post Basic B. Sc Nursing) with minimum 55% aggregate marks, from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing council
Minimum one year experience after Basic B. Sc Nursing. One year compulsory nursing service/ internship after successful completion of four year B. Sc Nursing can be considered as experience
Minimum one year of experience prior or after regular Post Basic B. Sc Nursing
Candidate shall be medically fit
Relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given as per state government norms
Candidate should have 80% attendance for theory and practical, with minimum 50% of internal marks in each subject in theory and practical. However 100% of attendance is a must for practical before the award of degree. The candidate should have completed the training period before commencement of examination.

The college doesn't promise to provide any placements or job opportunities for its students. But a student is required to keep good grades so that he/she can apply for higher studies or be recruited in different positions by the college's own hospital or other reputed hospitals.
