Auxilium College of Arts and Science for women was a vision that came to reality in the year 2007-2008. It is administered by the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco. The empowerment of young people is the focus of their service. The college is situated in the remotest corner of the Pudukkottai District, in a village named Regunathapuram surrounded by many villages.The people of the villages around, never even dreamt to have their girl children to enter into the portals of the University and obtain a degree of their studies in Higher Educational Institution. The lamp lighted up does shine brighter and higher and attracts the simple and underprivileged young girls of the villages to chase away their ignorance through obtaining higher education.After so much of the struggle and sacrifices of the sisters, in the year 2007 Auxilium College received affiliation orders from the Bharathidasan University, Thiruchirapalli, for five courses and started only with 3 students admitted in the Department of English.

INFRASTRUCTURE
Bharathiyar Arts and Science for Women, which is celebrating its 25th Anniversary, is located on a peaceful 10.51-acre campus that provides a friendly academic environment while maintaining a rural vibe.The college has a first entry with the Vinayakar Temple to promote devotional and pleasant visits to everyone.Teaching and learning take up 21241.87 square metres, while the dormitory takes up 6705.15 square metres.
LABORATORY LANGUAGE
To aid in the transmission of Language Skills, the Department of English maintains a Modern Language Laboratory with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. Students and Faculty Members use the Laboratory for a variety of Self-improvement and Soft Skill development activities. The Lab’s primary goal is to give students a platform to explore English Language Skills, Communication Skills, and Soft Skills.
PHYSICS LABORATORY
Physics Laboratory assists a student in determining the theory�s relevance. It clarifies the fundamental understanding of the topic in the minds of the students. Students learn how to be patient and meticulous when obtaining observations and drawing inferences through experiments conducted in Physics Laboratories.
CHEMISTRY LABORATORY
The Chemistry Laboratory provides a platform for students to nurture the budding scientist within them. The laboratory is furnished with latest Equipment.�Students are encouraged to use these laboratories to learn through experiments. Every year latest instruments, are purchased for these laboratories.
COMPUTER SCIENCE LABORATORY
Air-conditioned Computer Labs are available on multiple floors. The college has leased line internet connection, which is locally networked and connected through more Wi-Fi routers, covering the campus. Computer laboratories are equipped with the most advanced systems for both: Windows and Linux servers. Students can get hands-on experience on the latest software packages and browse selected internet sites at the same time.All e-books and study materials including all academic related data can be accessed through campus connectivity. 24/7 internet connectivity and full-fledged integration with Google apps enable quick sharing of information sharing across various platforms.
BOTANY LABORATORY
The Botany Lab has adequate compound and dissecting microscopes for each student to utilize independently in class. It aids students in improving their presentation of the subject. Plant Taxonomy, Plant Diseases, Herbal Medicine, Seed Technology, Plant Breeding, and the interaction of plants with their physical environment are all covered in the Botany Laboratory.
ZOOLOGY LABORATORY
The well maintained and constantly updated Zoology Laboratory has facilities such as Hot air oven, Incubator, Binocular Research Microscopes, Calorimeter, Electronic balance, pH meter, etc. Well equipped laboratory with sophisticated instruments and equipments. Well-maintained museum with diverse collection of specimens including fossils.
FASHION TECHNOLOGY LABORATORY
In this lab, the student learns how she can independently create patterns for different kinds of garments in common use.It provides the students with hands-on experience while nurturing their creativity for fashion designing. The student is allotted extensive machine hours so that she develops confidence and expertise in the operation of all of the machines. The student is provided with hands-on practice in all of the chemical processes right from fibre identification up to textile finishing.
NUTRITION AND DIETETICS LABORATORY
Students will understand and follow the scientific method in all Food Science Labs. Students will distinguish between Scientific Hypothesis and Theories. Explore the Basic Chemistry concepts that relate to Food Science. Additionally, students will be able to categorize and demonstrate the personality traits and professional/personal etiquette that are needed to succeed in the hospitality and tourism industry.
AUDITORIUM
The Auditorium has partaken in every momentous event in the annals of our College. Constructed with a seating capacity to accommodate 4500 members, the Mother Tereasa Auditorium is the prime witness to cultural programmes and formal meetings.
BHARATHIYAR TRANSPORTS
Safe and Comfortable Transport Service at door step to girls from rural and semi- urban areas. A full fledged Transport department functions in the College with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. This service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation.The College runs 67 Buses for providing transport facility to students from various places in and around area. The number of buses will be increased corresponding to the increase in the intake of students.
