Uday Pratap University in Varanasi was established in 1909 as a high school. The existence of this church is due to the philanthropy and philanthropy of the late Rajarshi Uday Pratap Singh Judeo, the Raja of Binagah (Baharachi District of Union District). He was born as a raja but became a sanyasi (hermit) for the benefit of society. He was born on September 3, 1850 and died in 1913. The intervening 63 years were a politically and culturally tumultuous time in our nation's history. The first war of independence against British rule was fought in 1857. The wave did not last long, as it was brutally suppressed by the Empire, but it captured the imagination of our people as they sought to secure freedom from the foreign yoke. People felt that an open rebellion against the technologically advanced British Empire might be in vain. Our nation's politically and socially conscious thinkers sought to take cues from the British themselves. They believed that it was necessary to instill in the country's youth a sense of dignity for its glorious past, but they also believed that the adoption of progressive elements from European culture was inevitable. The formative years of Rajarshi's life were spent in such an environment. In line with the ideas of Founder Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and Mahamana Pandit Mahan Mohan Malviya, Rajarshi encourages boys and girls to develop a scientific and rational approach, because smart people think alike. At the same time, I felt the need for an educational system that could foster rationality. A deep feeling of nurturing honor and dignity for their culture. Keeping this in mind, he established Hewett Kshatriya High School in Varanasi. This high school developed into Pratap Autonomous College in Varanasi.

Computer Laboratory Considering today's need for computerization, our College is proud to have all the infrastructure facilities in certain faculties such as Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own computer laboratories with modern equipment and necessary software (Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, C++ software, etc.) to meet the needs of students. In addition, the library also has an e-resource center, which provides access to e-resources among other things.
Library Shahid Bhagat Singh College has a fully computerized barcode library. The library has a computer lending system with barcodes. We have two computers dedicated to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) book searches. This collection is enriched by his over 86,796 books on various research fields. The library also subscribes to over 100 of his periodicals in various fields (national and international, specifically Harvard Business Review, The Economist, etc.). The library also has a small computer lab for accessing electronic resources subscribed to by the College of Delhi through the College's intranet and the Internet. The Library also holds orientation programs from time to time and provides orientation in electronic resources for accessing bibliographic databases and full-text databases available through the College's intranet and the INFLIBNET Consortium and Information Literacy Program. Sports The College's athletic fields include basketball courts, lawn tennis courts, and extensive fields for competitions such as cricket, football, and track and field. The sports building consists of a physical education director's office and rooms dedicated to indoor sports and recreational activities. Landscaping proposals for various sports fields were recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors. Balwinder Singh is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science.
Canteen The College campus has a spacious and well-ventilated canteen building with ample seating, separate from the academic blocks. We provide students and faculty with a variety of snacks, food, tea, coffee, and other beverages at low prices. The canteen committee monitors food quality, care and hygiene. A proposal to renovate the cafeteria was recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors.
Seminar Rooms The College has two seminar rooms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The College organizes seminars, workshops and lectures with the active participation of students and teachers. Prominent scientists and experts from academic and business organizations are invited to interact with students and give lectures.
LAWN The College has well-maintained gardens, giving the campus a lush appearance. It also ensures ecological balance and aesthetics of green spaces. The campus is surrounded by lush green lawns filled with flowers and offers beautiful views.
