Ginni Devi Modi Girls (PG) college, Modinagar affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut was established in 1983 by the great Philanthropist Dr. K.N. Modi and Smt. Ginni Devi Modi with the avowed mission of providing opportunities of higher education to women. The motto of the college is "Self Reliance through Education" and through it, the ultimate aim is to "Empower the young female generation" in the region.The college got 2f and 12b recognition in 1988, and subsequently became Grant in aid college of U.P. government.College has completed 38 years of its existence. Its leadership in teaching, research, extracurricular activities and social services makes it an institute of excellence in higher education, our students, faculty and staff come together in a true community of scholars to advance knowledge, address societal challenges and pursue intellectual and personal fulfillment.The college located on National Highway No.34 has around 3000 students. The women's Hostel with mess facilities is also located within the college campus.The college has been accredited by NAAC with 'B ' Grade in June 2019 and UGC has awarded the status of “College with Potential for Excellence” in XI plan.The vision of the College is "Self Reliance through Education". Since its inception in 1983 college has been nurtured to be the vanguard of higher education to make the future generation of women self reliant and empowered through sound education adhering to the principles of truth and traditional values revitalized by scientific outlook and strengthened by moral and social responsibilities.The college has mission to move forward towards the achievement of the vision of the founders of the college to cater the higher education needs of the girls belonging to the most disadvantaged and deprived sections of the society both in urban and rural areas in and around the town Modinagar, to impart the value-based education to nurture a culture of solidarity and to develop the overall personality of the students by providing them holistic higher education that will promote their social, economic and cultural advancement and also through their active participation in extra-curricular activities and socially relevant extension activities to inculcate the sense community belongingness amongst the students.

Computer Laboratory
Considering today's need for computerization, our College is proud to have all the infrastructure facilities in certain faculties such as Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own computer laboratories with modern equipment and necessary software (Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, C++ software, etc.) to meet the needs of students. In addition, the library also has an e-resource center, which provides access to e-resources among other things.
Library
Shahid Bhagat Singh College has a fully computerized barcode library. The library has a computer lending system with barcodes. We have two computers dedicated to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) book searches. This collection is enriched by his over 86,796 books on various research fields. The library also subscribes to over 100 of his periodicals in various fields (national and international, specifically Harvard Business Review, The Economist, etc.). The library also has a small computer lab for accessing electronic resources subscribed to by the College of Delhi through the College's intranet and the Internet. The Library also holds orientation programs from time to time and provides orientation in electronic resources for accessing bibliographic databases and full-text databases available through the College's intranet and the INFLIBNET Consortium and Information Literacy Program. Students are encouraged to inquire about various library services with Dr. Puja Anand Gulati, Librarian.
Sports
The College's athletic fields include basketball courts, lawn tennis courts, and extensive fields for competitions such as cricket, football, and track and field. The sports building consists of a physical education director's office and rooms dedicated to indoor sports and recreational activities. Landscaping proposals for various sports fields were recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors. Balwinder Singh is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science.
Canteen
The College campus has a spacious and well-ventilated canteen building with ample seating, separate from the academic blocks. We provide students and faculty with a variety of snacks, food, tea, coffee, and other beverages at low prices. The canteen committee monitors food quality, care and hygiene. A proposal to renovate the cafeteria was recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors.
Seminar Rooms
The College has two seminar rooms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The College organizes seminars, workshops and lectures with the active participation of students and teachers. Prominent scientists and experts from academic and business organizations are invited to interact with students and give lectures.
