Why Marshaghai College?

Marshaghai College Marshaghai, Kendrapara has celebrated its 36 years history, satisfying the fantasies of those famous children of this dirt. Presently it is a main school in Non-Govt. division in Odisha. The thought and dream of building up a Higher Educational Institution at Marshaghai first taught in the brain of. Late Sj. Rasananda Ratha, Late Sj. Prahallad Mallick, Late Sj. Dhruba Charan Swain, and Late Sj Raghunath Rath. The school is all around imparted only one Km. south to Daitary-Paradeep N.H. 5(A) from Silipur and 7 Km from "Tulasikhetra" the dwelling place amazing God Lord Baladevjew in Kendrapara region. The spot is accepted to be named after one Marshal Sahib and renowned as an explorer place for "Maa Gojabayani". 

The establishment stone of the school structures was laid by Sj. Gangadhar Mohapatra, the Ex-Minister of Education on Kartika Purnima in the year 1980. Every year this day is seen as the " Foundation Day of the school. "Two statues of Late Prahallad Mallick originator President, Ex-Deputy pastor of water system and control, and Late Dhruba Charan Swain, author Secretary were introduced before the school building. Propagating their memory and their commitment to this school. The school began working in a transitory shed with two Non-Teaching Staff individuals (M.S. Behera and B. Das) on 11.07.1980. Subjects like English, MIL(O), Odia, History, Pol. Science, Sociology, Economics and Education were opened on 20.06.1980 and eight instructors were named on 29.07.1980. Classes began working from 01.08.1980. Sri Debendra Nath Basantia, Lecturer-in-History went about as the main Principal of the College. The school started with a staggering number of understudies. 160 and 324 against conventional I.A. classes in the year 1980 and 1981 individually.
