As we look back upon the eventful past of the Morris college, the tiny beginnings and therefore the heroic work done by its gallant founders, it provides an excellent sense of pride and awe overviewing its history of events, exceptional student strength and an assured future. abundant water has flowed beneath the bridge since 1885.... Under the leadership of Sir Bipin krishna Bose, Mukund Balkrishna Buti, Madhao Rao Gangadhar Chitanavis et al, the Committee of the Neill town high school planned that a university for the Central Province was terribly fascinating ANd Nagpur was an acceptable place for establishing a university. Thus, AN application was created to the govt. for grant-in-aid. At a public meeting persisted the fourth December 1882, subscriptions amounting to Rs. 1900/- were secure for beginning a university in Nagpur in memory of Sir John Morris. speedy progress was created in furthering this proposal. A society known as "The Nagpur Morris school Association" was fashioned to lift funds for the institution of a university.
