Access to information is a vital key in developing the individuals potentiality. The College has provided a central library consisting more than 10,000 books and adequate number of journals. All the latest editions of books both for reference and text are available in this library. It also subscribes to various newspaper and periodicals for the information and update of their knowledge. The journals of both National and International, related to all Medical subjects are also subscribed. The library is spread over 130 sq.mtrs. and has the seating capacity of 50 students in its reading sections.
Hostel
Phukan Memorial College has coordinated with Madr-e-Meharban Women’s Hostels, Miskeen Bagh Khanyar, Srinagar, with a view to facilitate the female students who wish to avail the hostel accommodation. College is also persuading and coordinating with Hostels for facilitating the availability of accommodation for boys. The hostels have limited seats and it is offered by the Hostel Authorities on first come first served basis on depositing of the required hostel fee.
Auditorium
Auditorium - A well furnished auditorium with state of the art audio, video facilities and seating capacity of 300 students is being developed for conduct of various functions to facilitate student’s activities. The auditorium facilities are utilized during Seminars, Symposia, Conferences, EC Activities, Guest Lecturers, fresher’s party, Convocation Programme, farewell functions and other cultural functions, etc.
Herbal Garden
Herbal Garden of the college is situated at the rear end of the college campus. Area of Herbal garden is 2500 sq. mtrs. having required number of species and plants which include medicinal herbs, shrubs, trees and climbers. Herbal garden is equipped with appropriate water source, tools and other materials. The facility of green house is being provided for better propagation and preservation of medicinal plants/herbs. The herbal garden is maintained by the skilled garden workers. Herbal Garden facilitates the academic and research need of the institute. The main objective is to facilitate the training and teaching of medicinal plants by way of identification and demonstration of the medicinal plants.
