Sree Venkateshwara College of education was started from the academic year 1987-88 with an intake of 100 students and is affiliated to Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta. After the inception of the N.C.T.E. the college as got recognition from the year 1996-97 (No SRO — 96/RECOGN/1994 dated/29-10-1996) and continuing recognition regularly. Since from 2010-11 the college is affiliated to Davanagere University and getting affiliation regularly. Our college has been admitted into Grant-in-aid from 10-12-2010. Since from the inception of the college, it has progressed and produced good results and academic achievements. Many times results were 100%. Now the college is running in a very beautiful building with all facilities. Sufficient number of classrooms well equipped science labs, psycho lab, computer lab, technology lab and library with good number of books. Well experienced and qualified Principal and teaching faculty are boon to our institution.Devaraj Urs Education Society was established in the year 1983 by the founder secretary Sri M.Chandrappa in order to provide access to education to all sections of the society, particularly for economically and socially disadvantaged groups. M.M high school was started from the academic year 1983-84 in initial days. Now it has running number of institutions including Sri Venkateshwara College of Education, as follows To strive become an institution of excellence in the field of teacher education and to ensure quality of teacher for the service and progress of the Mankind.To shape, sensitize and inculcate in the prospective teachers a desire for excellence.To facilitate learning among their pupils through appropriate skills and methodologies and to exercise responsible leadership and render selfless service to the community.To inculcate in the minds of teacher trainees an absolute desire for “learning to teach and learning to learn”; to inspire the learners to acquire knowledge and skill and enable them to apply these tools with fair insight, skill and wisdom, to the benefit of the society at large. To prepare good, competent and resourceful teachers who can become socially more responsible citizens.

Computer Laboratory
Considering today's need for computerization, our College is proud to have all the infrastructure facilities in certain faculties such as Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own computer laboratories with modern equipment and necessary software (Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, C++ software, etc.) to meet the needs of students. In addition, the library also has an e-resource center, which provides access to e-resources among other things.
Library
Shahid Bhagat Singh College has a fully computerized barcode library. The library has a computer lending system with barcodes. We have two computers dedicated to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) book searches. This collection is enriched by his over 86,796 books on various research fields. The library also subscribes to over 100 of his periodicals in various fields (national and international, specifically Harvard Business Review, The Economist, etc.). The library also has a small computer lab for accessing electronic resources subscribed to by the College of Delhi through the College's intranet and the Internet. The Library also holds orientation programs from time to time and provides orientation in electronic resources for accessing bibliographic databases and full-text databases available through the College's intranet and the INFLIBNET Consortium and Information Literacy Program. Students are encouraged to inquire about various library services with Dr. Puja Anand Gulati, Librarian.
Canteen
The College campus has a spacious and well-ventilated canteen building with ample seating, separate from the academic blocks. We provide students and faculty with a variety of snacks, food, tea, coffee, and other beverages at low prices. The canteen committee monitors food quality, care and hygiene. A proposal to renovate the cafeteria was recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors.
Seminar Rooms
The College has two seminar rooms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The College organizes seminars, workshops and lectures with the active participation of students and teachers. Prominent scientists and experts from academic and business organizations are invited to interact with students and give lectures.
