Govt. Shahid Kaushal Yadav College, Gundardehi was set up on 25th 2005. At the start there were just 3 understudies and 1 science staff were there.It was running in Higher Secondary School of Gundardehi and afterward in 2005 it was moved to the structure where it's running currently. Governed by Chhattisgarh Higher Education Department, the school is subsidiary to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur according to arrange 3278/Aca/Affiliation/2008 Raipur Dated 23.12.2008.
Govt. School Gundardehi was named as Govt. Shahid Kaushal Yadav College by Chhattisgarh govt. In the cherishing memory of saint Kaushal Yadav who laid his life taking on conflict against foe at Kargil.

At present College doesn't have its own building.Its running in an elementary school which is single-storeyed .it has one chief chamber , one staff room , office room,4 study halls and 2 toilets, The principal sir's normal hardship and exertion has empowered to change over 1 study hall into lab where understudies carryout practicals.Their Annual Practical Exams of Botany, Microbiology and science are likewise directed here.
Library:- As there is no Librarian post its cared for by Prof. Mrs. Nigar Ahmed of English Department.There are 1787 general books,157 books in SC book bank,80 books in ST book bank and 257 in BPL book bank.
