Why National Institute of Health and Family Welfare?

The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), was established on ninth March, 1977 by the merger of 2 national level establishments, viz. the National Institute of Health Administration and Education (NIHAE) and therefore the National Institute of birth prevention (NIFP). The NIHFW, AN autonomous organization, underneath the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, acts as AN ‘apex technical institute’ additionally as a ‘think tank’ for the promotion of health and family welfare programs within the country. The Institute addresses a large variety of problems on health and family welfare from a spread of views through the departments of Communication, Community Health Administration, Education and coaching, medicine, Management Sciences, medical aid and Hospital Administration, Population biology and Human Development, coming up with and analysis, generative Bio-Medicine, Statistics and human ecology and Social Sciences.

MISSION

To act as think factory, the catalyst for management of public health and connected health & family welfare programs by following multiple functions of Education, analysis, practice services additionally as the provision of specialized services through inter-disciplinary groups.
