The Punjab government today rejected a previous Superintendent of Central Jail, Patiala, two Assistant Jail Superintendents and a Head Warder on the charge of damaging the correctional facility manual and disparaging coercion, torment and brutal treatment, other than unnatural acts.
Prisons Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said a request was endowed to IG Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh a couple of months back to test the charges leveled by the relatives of detainees Brajesh Thakur and Kiranveer Singh.
A FIR has been requested to be enlisted at Organized Crime Control Unit, Mohali, against the four officials.
