Savitribai Phule Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Washim, started with the govt. sanction vide letter No. NGC – 1790/2546 dtd. eighteenth July 1990 and vide letter No. 1790/2546 dtd. thirtieth August 1990 on a non-grant basis. it's go past SMCSPM, Washim from 1990-91 session. The Managing Committee consisted of seven Members with Adv. N. R. Bajad as Chairman and academician. H. N. Kshirsagar as Secretary. Now a days, Prof. H. N. Kshirsagar is Chairman of said society.

The college admitted fifty two students in B.A. half I throughout 1990-91, session out of that forty students appeared for the examination throughout the year 1991-92, there have been forty students for B.A. half I and twenty-three for B.A. half II there have been six Full-Time lecturers who were qualified and approved by the University. the subsequent subjects were being educated at the B.A. level;
