The Indian Institute of Gem and Jewelery [IIGJ Mumbai], Maharashtra, was established in 2003 as a private educational institution offering higher education for careers in humanities and design. IIGJ Mumbai is approved by the reputed AICTE and is affiliated with SPPU, Pune. The management of IIGJ Mumbai is under the direction of Mr. Kirit Bhansali (Chairman). The Indian Institute of Gems and Jewelery (IIGJ) and his IIGJ Research & Laboratories Center (RLC) are his two key initiatives of his GJEPC for the sustainable development of the Indian gems and jewelery industry. IIGJ aims to bridge the growing gap between the demand and availability of skilled professionals in the gem and jewelry industry with new curriculum and courses in line with the latest industry requirements. Our endeavor is to maximize the potential of every ambitious and deserving candidate by providing an industry-relevant, up-to-date and comprehensive curriculum. Our work over the past 30 years has changed the lives of thousands of students who have fallen in love with our industry.

Admission Process of Indian Institute of Jewellery in Mumbai

1. Candidates wishing to enroll in the first-year course should apply online. Complete forms must be submitted via the College website.

2. Applicants must upload original documents and a recent passport size photo.

3. The admission form recommended by admission committee and approved by the Principal entitles a candidate to deposit the prescribed fee within the stipulated period.

4. Change of subject is allowed only with the permission of the Principal. Change of faculty, i.e. from Science to Arts and vice versa, is permissible only if the candidate has the required percentage of marks as specified for admission to that faculty.

5. College authorities may discontinue a course of study in case adequate number of students are not available in a particular course.

6. Roster for reservation of seats in various categories shall be as per rules of Indian Institute of Jewellery in Mumbai
