Admission Process of MEA Engineering College

The minimum eligibility for admission to B.Tech is that the candidate should have passed at HSC (10+2) level with at least 50% aggregate marks.

For B.Arch admission, the candidate should be passed in the higher secondary examination with at least 50% aggregate marks and score attained in NATA.

The minimum eligibility for MBA is graduation in relevant field with at least 50% aggregate marks and should possess KMAT/CMAT/CAT score

For M.Tech and M.Arch, candidates should be passed in graduation with at least 50% aggregate marks and should appear for GATE and NATA respectively.

The college offers bachelor’s degree in seven specializations and the admission is entirely based on the merit in qualifying and entrance examination. Candidates who have passed in higher secondary examination with at least 50% aggregate marks with valid KCET score are eligible to apply for the course. Apply for UG CoursesCandidates must have studied mathematics and physics as mandatory subjects and any of the Chemistry/bio-technology/computer science/biology subjects in 10+2.

Candidates who have completed 3-year diploma in engineering can also apply for B.Tech in first year.

Selection of the candidates is based on the score obtained in the entrance examination as well as marks obtained in 10+2.The college offers five-year B.Arch course and the admission is based on the marks obtained in 10+2 and rank scored in NATA. The minimum required eligibility for admission is the candidate should be passed in high secondary examination or equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate and possess valid NATA scores. NATA is an online examination and is conducted for admission at various institutions in India.

Library

The College has Library is under the general supervision of the Librarian and the ultimate control of the Principal. The College Library includes •General Library •Departmental Libraries The General Library and Departmental Libraries are subdivided into a) Lending Section b) Reference Section c) Consulting Section The Reference Section The section consists of books for reference and consultation only such as Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Directories, etc.

Laboratories

The college has a departmental-based laboratories facility for the students.

Auditorium

The College has a well-maintained auditorium which can accommodate around 300 people at a time. Most of the programs in the college are conducted here.

Cafeteria

The college has a good canteen located at a very accessible place. It caters to the needs of students and staff adequately at a reasonable rate and in a hygienic environment. A new more spacious building for canteen is under construction.

I.T Infrastructure

The college is provided with a state-of-the-art computer lab with the most modern operating systems. The fully air-conditioned computer lab comprised 40 computers, Printers, a Scanner, Fax, and an internet facility. The college has a separate air-conditioned INFLIBNET Lab exclusively for the students with 25 computers, an Internet facility, and a Photocopier.

Gym

The College has a spacious and well-equipped gymnasium inside the campus. Equipment in the Gymnasium includes weight training equipment, barbel and weights for developing the strength of various muscle groups, abking pro equipment for the development of abdominal muscles, single station equipment for various parts of muscle groups, cycling equipment for aerobic development and strengthening the capacity of heart, rotator for the flexibility of hip joint and knee joint, etc. Mats are also available in the Gymnasium for practicing wrestling and yoga.

Sports

The College has two playgrounds, out of which one is about to be upgraded into a national-level stadium with a gallery that could accommodate thousands of people.

Girls Hostel

The college has a Lady's Hostel that started functioning inside the college campus in November 2019, with an inmate capacity of 96. There are 24 rooms for the students, apart from a Warden room, RT room, Kitchen, Mess Hall, and Study Hall across two floors. All the rooms are furnished with cots, study tables, chairs, and cupboards. Staffing of the hostel is from the Kudumbasree program, with the current staff consisting of cooks, a sweeper, and a sanitation worker.

MEA Engineering College Placements

Students are eligible for campus placement starting in semester 2 Lots of students are placed during study time lots of placed at the end of the semester. There have 70 percent of students are placed during the campus placement. The management gives lots of classes and practice interview sections to students. That helps the students to improve themselves and get placed.The placements start from semester 6 for the students who are eligible according to different companies. Various companies like IBM, TCS, etc. are providing job opportunities. A good percentage of students are getting placed.From the sixth semester onwards, all students can apply for college placements. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Q burst are coming to the college as placements. Some companies provide 4 lakh per annum for freshers. They are select students according to the basis of backlogs, CGPA(CGPA greater than 6). I am trying to getting a job n campus placements.They are several MNCs like wipro, tcs, infosys come every year to our campus. They choose the most eligible candidates through written exams interviews and group discussions. 60 percent of the students are likely to get hired even before they finish their graduation. The college administration provide campus placement driven lectures to the eligible students.From the sixth semester onwards there conducted many placements programs so the students could get placed before they pass.Many companies like TATA, INFOSYS, and other big companies provided placements in our college.Getting placed to good company after the degree is my choice.
