Admissions Open in Bahauddin Arts College

Bahauddin Arts College is one of the most established Government Arts Colleges in the Saurashtra district of Gujarat state. The establishment stone of the College was laid by Colonel J.M. Tracker on 25th March, 1897, the structure was officially initiated by Lord Curzon, the then Viceroy, on third November, 1900. The College wound up utilitarian in 1902 as 'Bahauddin College'. In June 1983, it was bifurcated into two - Bahauddin Arts College and Bahauddin Science College. Shri Bahauddin bhai, Vazir of Junagadh State and Deputy Vazir Diwan Purushottam Rai Zala set up the College at first to encourage quality advanced education to create skilled hands for the organization of the State of Gujarat. At first the College was partnered to Bombay University however later on the alliance was moved to Saurashtra University on its foundation in 1967. The College was perceived by the University Grants Commission and included under areas 2(f) and 12(B) on 18.6.1997.
