Nowgong Polytechnic, Nagaon is a chief specialized organization in Assam which was set up in the year 1961. At first the establishment began it's working from Nagaon ITI building and last it was moved to the present site in the time of 1965. At present the Institute has four branches to be specific Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Engineering. There are a decent number of research facilities and workshops with all around prepared instruments and apparatuses. The organization has 3 lodgings for young men and 1 inn for young ladies. The foundation has been developed with the important framework for conferring specialized instruction in the area and now went into 50th great year of memorable presence. The year 2011 was praised as the Golden Jubilee Year with different exercises and the last shutting system was held from 21st to 23rd October as a feature of the celebrations.Nowgong Polytechnic's grounds is on a rambling roughly 130 bighas of plot of land reaching out along the verdant picturesque bank of the stream Kolong, which is in the eastern piece of the Nagaon city. The entire grounds is secured by a limit divider having a length of around 1663 m. With the superb KOLONG on one side having a wonderful characteristic land scape, the grounds gives a perfect setting to learning. Other than its old and new structures (Academic) , the grounds comprise of two workshop structures, flask building, dispensary building, four inns and by and large 38 quantities of staff quarters directly from the Principal, HOD, Lecturer, Ministerial, Grade IV and so on. All quarters are connected with a decent system of street.
