National Post Graduate College was built up in the year 1974 by the then Chief-clergyman of Uttar Pradesh, Late Chandra Bhanu Gupta. The school is arranged near the banks of stream Gomti in the core of the city has rich green grounds and is encompassed by various real establishments - Academic and Administrative. In a city of 16 Universities and in excess of 150 degree schools, National P.G. School is the main school which appreciates the most noteworthy status of CPE (College with Potential for Excellence) and Autonomous Status. The College offers under-graduate and post-graduate courses in Arts and Commerce resources and under-graduate courses in Science and Computer resources. The school likewise offers under alumni and post graduate projects for aptitude advancement under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra set up with the extraordinary award from University Grants Commission (UGC). There are six projects being offered under the plan - two one-year programs under Community College and two degree and two post graduate projects under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra are being advertised. DDUKK has segments of ICT, ITES and Banking, Insurance and Financial administrations. Boys Hostel
The college takes pride in its separate Hostel facilities for boys within the college campus. Echoing the same architectural language of the main building the Hostel combines the modern design sensibility of less is more with a fresh interpretation of traditional concepts of the inner courtyard to allow natural circulation of light and air.

Medical/Hospital
Catering to rural needs and to provide requisite exposure to its student's college has established a 150 bedded multi-specialty hospital within the college campus.
Library
The Library National Post Graduate College was set up in the year 2008 and has since been upgraded with the latest of all information catering to the needs of all specialties of dentistry. The Central Library is housed in a well-furnished, illuminated and covering about 8000 sq.ft. area with a seating capacity of more than 250 students. Separate enclosures are provided for staff and students with internet facility and audio-visual aids. The undergraduate section is separated from the post-graduate' section respecting their separate needs for space and concentration required. It has more than books related to medical and dental sciences. The library subscribes to a large number of foreign and national journals in dentistry. It works from early morning till late in the evening with attached internet cafe having photocopier and scanners. The student has the opportunity of browsing the internet from 9 am to 5 pm.

Auditorium
The college also has an auditorium for various cultural events, meetings, inter-college events, and Continuing Dental Education programmes.
I.T Infrastructure
To cater to the needs of all the students, the College has established the state of art IT Lab with latest Pentium based computer for each practicing student. The lab is equipped with the latest software required for teaching. Students and faculty members extensively use the lab on a daily basis. The faculty & students remain in touch with latest development in the respective field, by use of Internet facility provided in IT Lab. The Lab is equipped with High Speed Radio Frequency Connection of 4 Mbps.
Transport Facility
With its locational advantage of being situated on the highway, college is easily accessible both by long distance and short distance bus services. The college also has its own buses for carrying day scholars. The transportation facility has received a boost after the setting up of the college fare bus stop providing easy transport to the students, guardians, general patients and other persons visiting the college. Local authorities have generously decided to ply the city bus service on this route.
