Yenepoya Physiotherapy College (YPC) was established in 2003 under the Islamic Academy of Education Trust (IAE) and the college was affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS).
The College was brought under the ambit of Yenepoya (Deemed-to-be university under section 3(A) of the UGC Act 1956 as per notification number F 9-11/2007 U-3 dated 27-02-2007) in the year 2009. YPC offers under graduate (BPT), postgraduate (MPT) and Ph.D, programmes. The institute is well known for its discipline, quality education and clinical research. Thus ensuring the quality of teaching learning and services to the society and the country as a whole.
The first batch of BPT students successfully completed their program and was awarded their degrees in 2008. Postgraduate courses (MPT) have since begun in 3 elective branches of Neurology, Cardiothoracic & Orthopaedics under RGUHS in the year 2007. Yenepoya Physiotherapy College is one among the few colleges to offer specialty in physiotherapy in India. By the year 2010 the college has added two more specialty branches i.e. Paediatrics and Manual therapy. In the year 2016 Semester system for BPT programme and in 2018 Choice Based credit System was introduced for MPT programme with 4 specialities with 7 electives.

Library
The college library is housed in a large Room & Contains a good collection of books required by the students as well as Members of various faculties: a large number of books, Text Books, Reference Books, and Books for General reading are being added to the Library every year.
I.T Infrastructure
The college has a Computer Lab which forms part of the Commerce and Management Department is well equipped with computers to bridge the gap between theory and practice in business studies.
Boys Hostel
The college hostel is clean and comfortable and each room is provided with adequate facilities for stay and study. It has a visitor's lounge, recreation hall, study hall, prayer hall, facilities for indoor games, magazines, and television. Mess facilities are available with a well-maintained dining hall inside the hostel. A variety of meals are prepared hygienically and served aesthetically. Students are availed to go out with the warden's consent.

Our college is attached to many other hospitals in the vicinity which helps us get clinical experience in our field of interest. These hospitals are mostly government hospitals since there is a good amount of patients in those hospitals.There was no campus placement. Although my first job as editor paid me close to 8k per month. Almost 80% of the batch joined somewhere and rest started something on their own or work as freelancer.As the college doesn't provide any placements as its degree is enough for getting any good job. We have to go off campus for placement as some of my senior are placed in India tv, aajtak news channel.Placements and job opportunities are also great. Companies often visit the college during the end of the final semester and almost every student gets placed from the college itself, if he/she could not manage to get it on their own.The placement was really nice. We were informed two days prior to the selection process. The interviews and written test were there for fair selection. I was lucky to get selected first by the company.We do not have placements for BA, BMS students however the engineering college in the campus i.e. Sardar Patel Institute of Technology has placements.
