Sree Siddaganga College of Arts, Science and Commerce, a premier First Grade College in Tumakuru District was founded in the year 1966 by Sree Siddaganga Education Society with the main perspective of providing higher educational facility to both boys and girls(specially from rural areas) of Tumakuru District. Sree Siddaganga Education Society under the divine blessing of the Senior Pontiff His holiness Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Maha Swamigalu and under the presidentship of Sree Sree Siddalinga Swamigalu is running 132 educational institutions wherein 45,000 students get education benefit ranging from LKG to PG including the fields of Medicine and Technology. Besides Sree Siddaganga Mutt provides free boarding and lodging facility on secular basis for 9,000 students of various disciplines.

Sree Siddaganga College of Arts, Science and Commerce with its pleasant, attractive green campus, located in the heart of the city has the state of the art facilities. It offers 18 under graduates, 1 PG course, and is a centre for Research in History, Commerce and Physics. This multi-facility institution has an enrollment of 1626 students, 90 faculty members and non-teaching staff. Spacious classrooms, smart board facility, well equipped lab and library, computerized attendance system, remedial coaching, seminars, conferences and special lectures, guidance on employable skills, qualified and experienced staff on the academic arena and NSS, NCC, Sports, Literary , cultural and Science clubs, student facility centers, placement cells etc., on the non-academic front stand as strength of our college. It is a matter of pride to record that the college has successfully undergone three cycles of NAAC visits during the years 2004, 2011 and 2018 and have been accredited with high grades of B++ and CGPA of 2.82.
